  • Members are required to provide accurate information during registration and update as necessary.
  • Members are granted exclusive access to the EXP Player Dashboard located in the Member-only portal on the website, which allows members to register for tournaments. Other member benefits may include but are not limited to have eligibility to compete in events and earn XP to count towards your overall ranking, and special perks throughout the year like giveaways and prizes.

Tournament Participation & Registration

  • Members may register for League Events on their Player Dashboard on the website - a private members-only page that can only be accessed with the members login credentials.
  • Members are responsible for familiarizing themselves with how to navigate the Player Dashboard to perform such key member-specific functions including but not limited to tournament registration.
  • Registration Deadline: Members may register for tournaments from their Player Dashboard on the website prior to the Tournament Registration Deadline. The Tournament Registration Deadline for each Tournament is typically published on the Tournament Microsite on website, as well as the Tournament Fact Sheet and various other places within the EXP digital ecosystem that relate to the event.
  • Members are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the key deadlines such as the Registration Deadline for each event they wish to enter.

Fees & Payment Terms

  • Membership Fees: Junior golfers are required to sign up for an annual EXP Membership and pay the annual Membership Fee on the website. The membership covers a 12-month period from the date of payment. The Membership Fee is a one-time annual fee that grants junior golfers access to the EXP Golf League and its associated benefits. The Membership Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Tournament Entry Fees: To complete registration into an EXP event, members must pay the Tournament Entry Fee, which like the EXP Membership, is facilitated through the website with the assistance of Stripe, a well-respected payment processor. The Tournament Entry Fee may differ from tournament to tournament. The Tournament Entry covers a player's participation in the event (more specifically, the green fee), and unless clearly stated at checkout or on the Tournament Microsite, does not include meals, transportation, accommodation, or additional goods or services offered by EXP or the host golf club.
  • Payment Methods: All payments, including membership and tournament entry fees, are processed via credit card on the website, unless clearly stated at checkout or on the Tournament Microsite. EXP uses Stripe as a payment partner to provide security and convenience to its users. Processing fees and taxes may be charged per jurisdiction or by the payment processor, in addition to the Membership Fee price.
  • Changes to Fees: EXP Golf reserves the right to change its annual Membership Fee and Tournament Entry Fees with notice.

Withdrawals and Refunds

  • Withdrawal Deadline: Members may withdraw from a tournament from their Player Dashboard on the website but must do so prior to the Tournament Withdrawal Deadline. • Members are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the key deadlines such as the Withdrawal Deadline for each event they wish to enter.
  • Refunds: Members who withdraw from an event prior to the Withdrawal Deadline will be refunded in full, less the payment processor service fee. EXP processes all refunds within 1-2 business day, however it may take longer for your money to be returned to your bank per bank policy.
  • Annual EXP Membership fees are non-refundable.
  • Members are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the League's official Withdrawal and Refund Policy, the full version of which can be found at www.expgolf.org/policies/withdrawals-and-refunds or by clicking here.
  • Billing and Receipts: Members are provided an invoice by EXP, which can be found on the Player Dashboard. Members are encouraged to retain proof of payment, and any email confirmations received.
  • Data Collection: EXP does not collect any financial data, credit card information or any other details of the like during the payment process. Stripe is a third-party service provider, and you agree to use Stripe's service at your own risk, wholly independent of EXP liability. • The League reserves the right to modify event details (dates, venues, entry fees) at any time. Such changes will be published on the event details section of the Tournament Microsite on the website and may be communicated to members by email.
  • It is the responsibility of members to stay informed of changes as announced by the League.
  • EXP also reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time as it sees fit. EXP shall also have the right at any time to impose new conditions, including, but not limited to, adding fees and charges for use. Such changes or modifications shall be effective immediately upon notice thereof, which may be given by means including, but not limited to, posting on EXPGOLF.ORG, or by electronic or conventional mail, or by any other means by which EXP may publicize notice thereof.

Any changes to our privacy policy will be posted on our site 30 days prior to these changes taking place. You are therefore advised to re-read this statement on a regular basis.
  • EXP shall also have the right at any time to change or discontinue any aspect or feature of our website, including, but not limited to, content, hours of availability, and equipment needed for access or use. These Terms and Conditions do not necessarily reflect the terms that govern other websites that are operated by EXP, its affiliates or parent company.

Communication and Notifications

  • Email and Digital Communications: It is the responsibility of members to check all communications from the League for important updates and announcements relating to topics that may Include but are not limited to changes in tournament details.
  • No Liability for Missed Notifications: The League is not responsible for missed communications if members do not review emails or other notifications.

Player and Parent Conduct

  • Members, including parents and players are expected to always uphold the League's Official Code of Conduct, both in digital spaces, such as while on the internet, and in physical spaces such as while at EXP-related events.
  • Should a parent or player's conduct be seen to break the EXP Code of Conduct at any time, EXP reserves the right to interpret, assess and decide the consequences as they relate to the status of the player's Membership and/or a given tournament registration. This term survives the annual term of the Membership.
  • Venue Rules: All participants and their families must follow the rules and guidelines of the host venue.
  • Future Bans: EXP reserves the right to ban a player and/or parent from acquiring a EXP Membership in the future or attend EXP-related events at any time, with or without a refund per the sole discretion of EXP Golf.
  • Members, both players and parents, are responsible for understanding themselves with the League's official Code of Conduct, which can be found at www.expgolf.org/policies/code-of-conduct or by clicking here.
  • For more information about the League's official Withdrawal and Refund Policy, please refer to www.expgolf.org/policies/withdrawals-and-refunds or by clicking here.

Rankings and Points System

  • Members are ranked on the Official Ranking of EXP Golf (the “XP System”). EXP's official ranking uses a multi-variate algorithm to rank players according to both performance history and relative playing metrics. For this reason, members may be ranked without competing in an EXP tournament. Designed in partnership with mathematicians specializing in ranking athletic performance, the XP System incorporates sound mathematical methods of statistical ranking based for predicting a player's performance, skill and ability. The algorithm looks at performance history and playing metrics from three categories and applies a specific formula for calculating the total XP (experience points) a player earns for the given category. These categories are:
  1. League Events: XP is awarded for participation and performance in League Events. The amount of XP earned depends on the player's finish in the event and the status level of the event, with the higher status level events awarding more XP per finish. The status level for an event is based on the level of competition and other factors such as course difficulty and weather conditions. Status levels are determined by the League Office following each event and are published on the Tournament Microsite. Each status level applies a specific “Points per Finish” conversion table to the event, which determines the XP earned for each finish. The Points per Finish conversion tables for each status level can be found on the EXP website and are updated from time to time.
  2. The Universal Golf Rankings (TUGR): XP is awarded to players based on their real-time Relative Global Strokes as is listed on TUGR's website (www.tugr.org). Players are awarded points based on a relative ranking and standard scoring method. Players are first assigned a base number of points according to how they rank amongst other EXP players in their division in terms of Relative Global Strokes. Then, a multiplier is applied which represents how many standard deviations the player's Relative Global Strokes fall above or below the mean of all EXP players' Relative Global Strokers. Player's XP earned from this category is updated weekly (Wednesday or Thursday of each week), following TUGR's own weekly release of updates. Players relative rank and standard scores multipliers are then re-calculated to output an updated XP for the category.
  3. World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR): XP is awarded to players based on their real-time WAGR. Players are awarded points based on the official WAGR-to-XP conversion table, which can be found on the EXP website. Player's XP earned from this category is updated weekly (Wednesday or Thursday of each week), following WAGR's own weekly release of updates. Players relative rank and standard scores multipliers are then re-calculated to output an updated XP for the category.
  • By design, the algorithm does not weight each of the three categories equally. As part of its mission, EXP emphasizes participation in all junior golf events, not just those conducted by the League. Therefore, while players can earn XP by performing well in league events, the algorithm greatly favors a player's TUGR and WAGR metrics for calculating their overall XP and ranking.
  • Inactive Status: When a player's membership expires, the player will remain ranked for 6 months following the date of expiration, and their XP earned from their real-time TUGR and WAGR metrics will be updated each week. However, only active members are eligible to earn XP from performance in EXP league events.
  • From time to time, players may receive invitations to special events based on their XP and overall ranking.

  • EXP Golf is committed to providing a safe, fair, and enjoyable environment for all members and users of the website. To achieve this, all members and users are expected to adhere to the following responsibilities:
